Dec 8, 2020 at 19:32 comment added hH1sG0n3 This is a great answer. Nikto simply put, you could say that each RNN cell has a spreadsheet inside of it. The size of that spreadsheet is defined by the units argument in SimpleRNN, and one could portray each box of the spreadsheet as a neuron.
