Suppose I have a dataset with three columns, turnover, market, count, and turnover is the range of turnover in EUR. Something like:

Turnover             Market     Count
turnover_0           Finland    6621
turnover_0_500       Finland    3172
turnover_500_1000    Finland    297
turnover_1000_2500   Finland    260
turnover_2500_5000   Finland    122
turnover_5000+       Finland    26180

Because 5000+ EUR takes the larger number of individuals earning within that range. What is a good method to choose appropriate ranges? For example, values between 500-5000 are low, and below 1000 combined.

  • $\begingroup$ Could you give us more information? You want to choose appropriate ranges for what? Why do you want to change the current ranges? Do you want new ranges for above 5000+ or for all turnovers? $\endgroup$
