I am looking to calculate Bias and Standard deviation given the true versus predicted values of ML model. Am I correct in saying:

Bias = (average difference between true values and predicted values)/average of true values Standard deviation = (standard deviation of the average difference between true values and predicted values)/average of true values

Thanks!

  • Your standard deviation looks more like Coefficient of variation. You should not divide by the average. The same goes for bias. – keiv.fly Dec 9 at 2:44
