I have a data frame;

DATA <- c( "A","X amount","X count","X average","Y amount","Y count","Y average")

A X amount X count X average Y amount Y count Y average m 10 5 2 15 3 5 n 12 6 2 6 2 3 TOTAL 22 11 2 21 5 4

and i want to apply thick borders over the A,X columns and Y columns as below

A | X amount X count X average | Y amount Y count Y average| ____ |____________________________________|__________________________________| m | 10 5 2 | 15 3 5 | n | 12 6 2 | 6 2 3 | _____________________________________________________________________________| TOTAL| 22 11 2 | 21 5 4 | _____________________________________________________________________________|_

Can some body help me do exactly that in r

  • $\begingroup$ This is not a data-science question, just a straight programming question. It's off-topic here and should be migrated to SO. Also, please don't write in all-caps, either in title or in code; R is case-sensitive, hence C(...) is not valid. $\endgroup$ – smci Jan 12 at 18:10
