I've been reading about Hawkes process (https://arxiv.org/pdf/1708.06401.pdf) and how it is used to predict future events based on frequency of similar events in the past and it kind of seems similar to a Long Short-Term Memory model. Does anybody know the difference (besides their internal architecture)?? Can both solve the same kind of problems??
