I'm trying to design a model (or multiple) that can predict the number of U.S. suicides for a future year, based on a few inputs--"age", "sex", "population" (of the age/sex), and "gdp_per_year". I'm using this Kaggle dataset as my data.

I'm pretty new to data science, though I've worked through the iris dataset. I'm pretty sure this is a regression problem (since I'm trying to find a numeric value rather than a class label).

How should I go about picking models and features to be used in these models? I'm really lost at this point. Thanks for your help.
