The third row of an Orange data file should give each column one of: class, meta weight, or ignore.

I understand ignore and meta are to be ignored.

But what do class and weight do? Their docs don't explain these: https://docs.biolab.si//3/visual-programming/loading-your-data/

  • $\begingroup$ There are column type descriptions in their Python library documentation: docs.biolab.si/3/data-mining-library/tutorial/… $\endgroup$ – K3---rnc Nov 24 '19 at 17:07
  • $\begingroup$ This mentions class, but not weight $\endgroup$ – Richard Nov 25 '19 at 11:08
  • $\begingroup$ It mentions instance weights further below. I guess it may be used in algorithms where instance weighing is possible. $\endgroup$ – K3---rnc Nov 27 '19 at 0:49
